Shifting Perspective, Solving Discrepancy

Shifting Perspective, Solving Discrepancy

photo-1510872893374-80379d91fc92I was trying to find a discrepancy at work. I stuck with it for a while, but I decided I needed to look at it with fresh eyes, so I moved to a different page, another piece of the books. Within a couple minutes, I realized how the pieces fit together, solving the discrepancy. Without shifting my focus, I wouldn’t have found it. I needed more information, a different perspective.

Sometimes we give up and walk away; sometimes we use the same perspective for too long. Often times, we need to move just enough to gather one or two additional pieces of the big picture and look at it with a slightly different perspective. Pieces begin to fit, and we find peace.

If we move forward too quickly or too slowly, we often miss resolution.
