The Oddity of Peace

239f12ccPeace is an odd thing. What brings peace to one person brings pain to another. Peace doesn’t mean problems are solved, but it provides strength that becomes a foundation under any problem. It’s what stirs us to action and gives us the wisdom to take a step back. It invites patience and perseverance. It humbles us.

Peace is not a feeling; it is a process. It becomes a residency. It involves a series of choices that feel deeply personal but actually set self aside. Peace is a yielding to truth, and it will always change us.

Peace is an odd mystery that we might never unravel and completely explain, but I will still continue to seek and invite it to permeate my life.
