Is He Enough?

Is He Enough?

I’m not sure why we’re surprised. It’s faith. Its very definition assumes we won’t have all the answers. Yet we still don’t like it at times. We’d be okay with having a mere percentage of the answers if only we could choose which answers we get and which we don’t. And to be honest, we don’t even want all the answers. We want the answers we want. We prefer the rest to be negotiable.

Control has a lot to do with it. But when we trust God, we acknowledge and trust his control. Our faith comes with responsibility, not complacency, but responsibility and control are not the same thing. The responsibility of faith involves trust, obedience, and humility.

So, consider whether or not you believe and trust God is enough for you, or are you willing to walk away from him in order to wrestle for control?
