To me, Mother’s Day is an opportunity to soak up the blessing of being able to touch my children’s lives. I don’t need a special day set apart for me. Every day I get to be a mother is a mother’s day. Every day is a day I get to thank my mom for giving me roots and wings. Most of all, every day is full of moments I get to praise God for giving me the roots I need to live a purposeful life for him and the wings I need to explore the beauty and freedom he gives me.
