Peace is sometimes a feeling.
Peace is often a choice.
Peace is always a presence.
Today in the middle of a flurry of activity, especially within my mind, I was surprised by an overwhelming flood of peace throughout and around me. I have learned that I cannot determine peace by how I feel, that more often than not, I get to choose how I experience and what I believe about peace.
But sometimes peace eclipses everything else in my life because peace is a presence. Peace comes from God, and he is generous with it if we will only empty ourselves, ready ourselves, and expect him to abide in us.
