The focus of the worship service was Confession. The communion meditation preceded the message, and Michael spoke from his heart, wearing his carpenter clothes and tools in which he’s most “at home.” He was authentic, speaking with confession, not of confession. When he left the front of the church, I thought, “Seriously, I think we could stop the service now.” Michael’s words were challenging, and I felt more words might just interfere.
Then Jim shared – from his heart. God wove together what these two men said. No contradictions. Just highlights and illustrations in relatable ways. I thought I was challenged when Michael finished, but that was just the beginning.
How many times do I think I’ve heard enough, studied enough, done enough, said enough, listened enough – and I’ve move on to something else and missed out on the total of what God had planned for me?
When God is teaching you, do you decide when you’ve learned enough? You might just be missing out on the best lesson.
The mind of a person with understanding gets knowledge; the wise person listens to learn more. Proverbs 18:15 (NCV)
Oooh you made me think. By the way, I wasn’t watching AI either:)
Glad you’re having a thought-provoking evening (whether it’s something I blog or something else!). I definitely felt like I was in the minority while AI was on!
