When you reap the harvest of your land, you are not to reap to the very edge of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. You must not strip your vineyard bare or gather its fallen grapes. Leave them for the poor and the foreign resident; I am Yahweh your God. (Leviticus 19:9-10)

What is your motivation for helping others?

What expectations do you have in return?

What requirements do you have for the people you help?

What can you sacrifice?

Today’s Challenge: As you go about your routine today, consider what you take for granted. Consider what you tightly keep hold of, claiming it as “mine.” Consider what God might be prompting you to loosen your grip and share.

Today’s post continues the Summer Scriptures series here at PurePurpose.org.  Each morning through the end of August, you’ll find a brief reading from God’s Word, followed by a question or two (feel free to journal if you want) and a challenge for the day.If you don’t already receive daily emails from PurePurpose.org, simply enter your email address on the site.
