For you were called to be free, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself. But if you bite and devour one another, watch out, or you will be consumed by one another. (Galatians 5:13-15)
How have you misapplied and abused freedom?
How have you even tangled “love” into your reasoning and rationalization?
How has it devoured and consumed your attitudes, relationships, or faith?
Today’s Challenge: What “rights” do you claim or assume throughout the day? What do you take for granted? Invite God to challenge your assumptions and remind you of His ways to wipe away the rights you’ve been taught you have and the ones you most want and are willing to rationalize you have.
