Do you use many shortcuts on your keyboard?
One of my favorites is Control + Z. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s the “undo” function. Perhaps you delete a section of text but you’re not sure how, and you don’t want to have to retype it.

Or you’re not sure where you went wrong but something isn’t lining up correctly, and you want to start over but not from the beginning. How can you go back just a few adjustments?
Control + Z
I’ve seen many graphics that say something like, “I wish there was a Control + Z key in real life.” Of course, there’s no redo button. We can’t go back in time. But that doesn’t mean there’s not a way to move forward and change the situation without a redo button. We can apologize, and the offense is still there, but our relationship might become stronger because of the healing that happens. Or we can forgive, and the offense is still there, but we end up growing closer to the person because of the storms we’ve weathered. We can refuse to be selfish and listen to another person even if it’s uncomfortable to talk about some of the issues in play, and our relationship can begin to rebuild trust.
Maybe there’s not a Control + Z key in life, but there’s Respect + Humility, and those are key qualities in any situation and relationship.
