I sat in the church foyer during the worship service. It was my granddaughter’s first morning in the nursery, and since her mom was helping with the service, I thought I would be available if the nursery volunteers needed help or had a question.

I like to be in the service. I savor weekly worship services, but sitting in the foyer that morning was a blessing. I heard the music and message. But I also had brief conversations with a few people I see often but rarely catch up with.

It was as if I took a step back from my routine and God had a sweet blessing waiting for me. He’s generous like that.

Be attentive today. Watch for a wink from him and enjoy a sweet moment or two – or more.
