Sometimes experiencing joy is difficult. Sometimes it’s easy.
Before Spring kicked in, we had an early morning snowfall that blanketed the area. It was gorgeous. Large flakes continued to fall gently.
As a child, I would often stand in the snow with my head back and tongue out to try to catch a snowflake. It wasn’t easy at times. They would swirl around we, or perhaps I wasn’t patient enough to stand still. Sometimes I think they were just to small for me to notice because they’d instantly melt. But on the morning a few weeks ago, I didn’t try. I simply walked toward door from my car at work and a large snowflake drifted straight onto my lips.
A moment of easy joy.
