This song has been in my head and my heart lately.
So many friends, so many situations, so many people around the world.
But turning it around isn’t what we sometimes assume. We cannot turn around and head back in the way we came as if no time has passed and we are simply rewinding the clock. We often loop back to heal and forgive. But God turns things around by changing us in the process of focusing us forward toward him. It will involve 180 degree turns, 45 degree steps, and 2 degree shifts. It is our trust and hope in him that changes us and our circumstances more than the details of the outcome. It is the process of faith and redemption that reveals the authenticity of our prayers.
Right now, God is healing, saving, moving, and making ways. Focus on him. Pursue him. Trust him.
