I opened a Dove chocolate mid-morning and read this:

Yes, be thankful. Every day. I wasn’t having a particularly rough morning, yet it was a good reminder. I sat still for a minute, basking in God’s provision and peace. Regardless of the uncertainties and instabilities of my life, I was grateful.

I had a mid-afternoon errand and stopped by Starbucks for my favorite peppermint hot chocolate. A sweet friend had given me a gift card, and I decided it was a good day for a treat to go along with my drink. I picked up my bag and saw a special message:

I smiled. Yet another reminder to appreciate the little joys of life.

I don’t know what you’re facing today, but I know there is reason for a grateful sigh or smile, even if it is brief.
