I had no idea the “s” in https (think internet site urls) stands for “secure.” Sure, most people are probably fully-informed of this fact, but I’m okay with admitting it was recently my “cool things I learned today” highlight. I was reading about internet security issues and read a caution to watch for the “s.”
Basically, know the security of where you are.
Not everything is safe. We don’t live in climate-controlled bubbles. But we can seek security. We can discern the difference between wise risks and “absolutely not”! I’ve found God will take me to some risky places and uncomfortable situations, yet I can be secure with him no matter where I am, as I trust him to lead and provide.
For that, I am thankful. It’s as if anywhere I go with God has an “s” attached. No matter what I feel, no matter what I know or don’t know, no matter how uncertain I am about that next step, I can move ahead with assurance of firm ground under my feet, not because of me of because of God.
