Audacity isn’t the absence of uncertainty and ambiguity. Audacity is believing that God’s promise is bigger than my perhaps.
Audacious is the word I chose to accompany my name in my senior yearbook. I wouldn’t have defined it the same way back then, but it’s been a constant thread running through my life.
The deeper my faith has grown, the more audacious I’ve become. The more I trust God. The bolder I’m willing to be for him. The more honestly and accurately I see myself. The more I embrace humility and authenticity.
Believing God isn’t weak or easy, as some assume. Faith isn’t a cop-out. It’s a pursuit into truth. It shines a light on the big and small stuff, illuminating what needs to stay and what needs to go. Faith demands constant change and growth within the security of what is and what can be.
