My Life with God

The Wish List

Sometimes we want a surprising new gift, but sometimes we want the same. We like something a friend or family member has given us over time. It was useful, entertaining, or meaningful. Or maybe it’s not a tangible gift at all. It might be sound advice, comfort, or help in some way.

We can have similar expectations of God. He has provided, guided, taught, healed, and comforted. We want him to provide in the same way at another time or with a loved one.

God always provides for us but not necessarily what we think we need and when and how we expect it. The giver is the one who determines the gift, and God knows. He certainly listens to our wish list. He simply loves us to much to give us everything we want.
