My Life with God

The Time You Have

You think you have the option—to apologize, process, reconnect, appreciate, and so on—until you don’t.

I’m not being dramatic, thinking about the I-didn’t-think-it-was-important-until-they-were-gone situations, although we can include those. There are so many others. We let relationships deteriorate. We don’t make the effort to approach others with generous humility and respect in a timely manner. We rationalize we’re busy or they’re not worthy. We put conditions on others while excusing ourselves.

What will our efforts or lack thereof say about our character? How will our character encourage or isolate others? Why are we responding and interacting the ways we are?

When will we learn, grown, and authentically share life with others?
