I sat in the waiting room.
I was by myself, yet I wasn’t. There were people around. I heard bits and pieces of updates and conversations. Doctors came and went. Some people got comfortable with blankets or snacks. Some scrolled on their phones. Others updated friends and family. People came and went.
The waiting room was also an opportunity for peace, trust, and faith.
There are a lot of waiting room moments and seasons in life. The results differ, but maybe it’s not as much about the results as the process. What do we do in the waiting room? What do we choose? How do we spend our time and energy? With whom do we connect?
Our choices are important.
